The solution of unresolved issues and the normalization of relations will have a positive impact on the whole region and on all the parallel processes. Although it is sometimes worth considering phenomena separately, of course, there can be interconnectedness.
– When will the Armenian side make the decision to accept the invitation to Antalya?
I do not know, to be honest. The Armenian side was not given a deadline; we only received the invitation. Of course, we will do our best to inform the inviting party within a reasonable time.
The Turkish Foreign Minister stated that Turkey has invited Armenia to participate in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
– Armenia has submitted proposals to Azerbaijan, but it seems that there are no positive signals in this regard. In other words, will there be any demarcation at the border?
If you remember, the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia agreed in Sochi that the parties would take steps to increase security and stability in the region. They set up a demarcation commission. We are 100 percent committed to this commitment. We are currently discussing with the Azerbaijani and Russian sides the security measures that will create mechanisms for stability and security on the border. We have made various proposals. There has been a negative response from Baku, but this is an ongoing process. There have been unacceptable proposals for us. We are interested in that process.
– You mentioned that Azerbaijan is trying to limit the Red Cross visits to Artsakh. What steps is the Armenian side taking against this?
We are involved in very intensive discussions both with the Red Cross and other international organizations.
