When the April Commission of Inquiry was being set up, Seyran Ohanyan was saying that an investigation had already been carried out inside the Ministry of Defense. There was no need for another one. Do not investigate and do not attack the army. You were saying that it cannot be objective because you cannot give testimonies against yourself. It can be objective only if the next government or the opposition does it.
Now your actions contradict each other. In response to this observation from Aravot.am, the chair of the commission Andranik Kocharyan said at the press conference held on Monday after the first sitting of the Commission of Inquiry Investigating the Circumstances of the 44-Day War unleashed on September 27, 2020, “Seyran Ohanyan was right, there is that analysis, we got acquainted with that analysis, but in his case, why did we interrogate Seyran Ohanyan for 5 hours? Well, that analysis was enough, again. Everyone there was guilty except him. When we asked him, we said, ‘What did you do as a minister?’
He said that Khachaturov was guilty. Is that so? The question arose of why we interrogated the head of intelligence twice. Because the question arose again. That’s what efficiency is all about. Did the opposition oppose it today? Did you feel that they did not make that decision? I felt that way.”
