The Artsakh parliament convened a special sitting on March 10 with one issue on the agenda: the draft statement on applying to the OSCE Minsk Group and the UN and relevant structures.
The draft was presented by Gegham Stepanyan, a deputy of the Artsakh Democratic Party faction.
According to a statement issued by the Artsakh National Assembly, tensions in the border areas of Artsakh have recently gained momentum, with Azerbaijan firing intensively and shelling a number of settlements, as well as the degradation of the authority of the Russian peacekeeping mission.
The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh strongly condemns the aggressive and terrorist acts against Artsakh, the targeting of settlements, the psychological information pressure on the civilian population, and the obstruction of the renovation of the only gas pipeline supplying Artsakh with natural gas. Official Baku continues its anti-Armenian policy, undermining the fragile peace and stability in the region, which once again proves that Azerbaijan is not ready to establish lasting peace in the region.
