The ARF Youth Union, the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), and youth student organizations staged a joint protest outside the Foreign Ministry on March 17 to tell Minister Ararat Mirzoyan that he “does not represent the interests of the Republic of Armenia.”
The representative of the ARF youth wing, Sevak Nazaryan, made a speech during the demonstration and said, “We are the absolute majority, not this many. The Armenian people, who have entered the 21st century with dignity, can not be stopped by any government. As before November 9, in August 2018 it was announced that nothing will be done behind the people’s backs, but today they are certainly negotiating behind the scenes with Turkey and Azerbaijan.

It is a sad situation when we learn more about the most important processes for Armenia from the Azerbaijani press than from Armenia. Years ago it was a shame to praise a Turk. Today, before the blood of our brothers has dried up, shaking hands with the Turks and exchanging smiles has become a priority for this government. In the past, there was a struggle for every inch of land, every position in Artsakh, today only their own skin and skin have become a priority. They are trying to convince us that it would be good if we made friends with the Turks.” He assured that Artsakh was not and will not be a part of Azerbaijan in any way. “The Armenian people have no way to cross with the Turks without restoring their dignity.”
The demonstrators assured that their struggle would not end with this one demonstration. The deputy of the I Have Honor faction Tigran Abrahamyan also made a speech. He presented the situation on the border of Artsakh, the residents are under fire, various threats, the Azeris call on our compatriots to leave Artsakh and leave, threatening to do it by force. “Various politicians representing the ruling party state that it is debatable for them to discuss Artsakh within the framework of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity. These are not accidental errors, they come from Nikol Pashinyan, especially from the last statement. On the one hand, they are trying to evict the Armenians from Artsakh through aggression, and the Armenian authorities are giving the green light for that with their statements. We have come to say no to the Turkification of Azerbaijan and Artsakh. Artsakh will never be part of Azerbaijan.”
