“After we said that we responded to Azerbaijan, there were comments, some of which I must admit are wrong. The assessment is that Armenia has rejected Azerbaijan’s proposals. There is nothing unacceptable for Armenia in Azerbaijan’s proposals, except that they do not fully address the whole agenda of the talks,” said Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a question-and-answer session between the government and National Assembly on March 23.
“For comprehensive peace, we have supplemented our proposals with the OSCE MG Co-Chairs. The co-chairing countries have informed me that the proposals have been transferred to official Baku, from which we have no response yet,” Ararat Mirzoyan added. He assured that the proposals of the Republic of Armenia were completely, almost 100% revealed in his interview with Armenpress․
“One of the key points of the proposals for us is that the issue of the status and rights of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh is fundamental. It is impossible to consider the agenda complete until this is discussed.”
As for the question of how the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs will deal with the Artsakh issue following the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Ararat Mirzoyan noted that the hostilities have sharply complicated the work of the Minsk Group Co-Chairs, up to the level of joint discussions. “But based on the concrete signals I have received from the co-chairing countries, I would like to reaffirm that the international community continues to see the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the framework of the Minsk Group co-chairs.”
