Azerbaijan presents ultimatums and the situation in Artsakh is difficult. On March 30, the Security and Democracy NGO organized a discussion on this topic. NGO President Naira Zohrabyan said that the last time the Minister of Defense was seen was in Vedi to prepare for the elections. At the last session of the Security Council, Nikol Pashinyan conveyed several pessimistic “messages”: the situation is extremely difficult, there is nothing we can do, and the Russian peacekeepers are responsible.
Metakse Hakobyan, a member of the Justice faction of the Artsakh Parliament, said that now there is a hybrid war in Artsakh. “They use different methods of pressure and provocations on the line of contact. We have casualties and many wounded, and there is an absolute ban on agricultural work. Recently there was a gas outage. Yes, it was restored, but there was no joy, it was just necessary for living.”
She referred to the November 9 document. “The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, the President of the Russian Federation and the President of Azerbaijan agreed on November 9, 2020 to uphold certain points. We all understood that this is not a solution to the issue, but we must have a political solution. During this year and a half, there is not a single day where Azerbaijan does not violate the agreement. The point of returning the captives was not fulfilled.
