The current situation is very difficult and in the case of the current authorities, Artsakh and Armenia are leading to the overthrow and loss.
Secretary of the Armenia faction, former Minister of Defense Seryan Ohanyan expressed such an opinion on April 3. He took part in the awareness march, which was held by the deputies of the faction ahead of the April 5 opposition rally. “A new genocide awaits us, and we must attend the rally to advance our terms. Today we will carry out an information process, which will continue tomorrow and not tomorrow, so that our people will be with us on the 5th of the month at 18:30. Not only our supporters, but also the majority of our people who have been convinced in the last three months of this year that the current situation is serious, and in the presence of the current government, we are leading Armenia and Artsakh to decline.”
According to Seyran Ohanyan, it is a pity that the negotiation process was stopped and a war took place. “It is a pity that we could not succeed in the war because our country’s both human and material potential was not mobilized to defend Artsakh and Armenia. It is a pity that there is a continuation of these defeats. Both on the borders of Armenia and Artsakh, you can see for yourself how the enemy continues to exert pressure and provocations on the border every day, and now also in Artsakh, and that is why we started a movement 6-7 months ago, which we called the “Resistance Movement,” which was against the Turkification of Armenia and the extermination of Armenians in Artsakh. And most importantly, it hurts that in these conditions, when there are no appropriate preconditions. Azerbaijan does not want to live in peace with the Armenian people, but unilaterally tries to force the Armenian authorities, and the Armenian authorities are blindly subjected to this Armenian-Turkish deception. Our rally is held in defense of Artsakh. In other words, by defending Artsakh, we are defending Armenia.”
According to him, one should not blindly submit to that deception. “We have to stand on our own two feet and get out of this psychological crisis because our whole history has shown that we are hit, but we always overcome it with honor. And we want to get out of this situation with honor and succeed now.”
