On April 12, Aravot.am asked Gegham Manukyan, a member of the Armenia parliamentary faction, what the problem was and why the opposition deputies could not enter Artsakh.
“It is a consequence of Nikol Pashinyan’s and Aliyev’s shadow agreement to limit the trips to Artsakh for politicians as well. Today only the names of the NA deputies, our names, were in the hands of the peacekeepers. It is not ruled out that other names will appear in their hands tomorrow. It is noteworthy that near the village of Tegh in Goris, our border guards have established another special control. In response to our question, they said it was starting from today. All the personal data of the deputies were specifically recorded, and they were trying to find out that the deputies specifically wanted to enter Artsakh to pass their information to the Russian peacekeepers,” Gegham Manukyan said.
According to him, “This is within the framework of the next Pashinyan-Aliyev agreement. It speaks about the fact that it is another conspiratorial program to isolate Artsakh and evict Armenians from Artsakh.”
Gegham Manukyan also added that the meeting with the leaders of all the factions of the Artsakh National Assembly took place at the Aghavno checkpoint. This was also mentioned by another member of the Armenia faction, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, in a Facebook post. The latter described the reaction of the Azerbaijani authorities on the occasion of their visit as identical and complementary.
