“It is not a discovery, but we have understood that any deputy or person who is part of the government does not express their own point of view. They have been previously discussed, decided, and distributed according to roles,” Metakse Hakobyan, MP of the Justice faction of the Artsakh National Assembly, told Aravot in response to the opinion voiced by Vigen Khachatryan, MP of the Armenian National Assembly’s Civil Contract faction. Vigen Khachatryan stated in the parliament on April 13 that there are people in the Karabakh government who endanger Karabakh and Armenia every day, and such people should not be included in the Karabakh government.
Metakse Hakobyan recalled that Gurgen Arsenyan from the same faction spoke about Artsakh․ “He spoke more harshly, saying that the Artsakh authorities should be punished in this way after the Security Council meeting was held in Artsakh, and Arayik Harutyunyan stated that the government and the opposition have red lines regarding how Artsakh’s right to self-determination is based on international principles. The whole negotiation process was carried out on the basis of the Minsk Group, on the basis of which Artsakh should have been given a status. When Nikol Pashinyan said in 2018 that the negotiations start from his point of view, that is when he canceled that platform, the Minsk Group, where the co-chairs had the same point of view – to sit down, discuss, and the status should have been decided. These are red lines for us, they took it hard in Armenia. Then followed today’s staged announcement. Their statement speaks about the fact that the relations between Artsakh and Armenia are relations between master and servant.” The MP mentioned that the Prime Minister’s visit to Moscow is expected, and it seems that it has already become a habit- before going somewhere, they prepare another catastrophe for the Armenians.
“While listening to Pashinyan’s speech, I remembered November 9, but it was lighter than this. Now we are entering a much more difficult stage. It is not yet known what the outcome will be for Artsakh and Armenia. Today’s self-confession, with words unworthy of a politician,․․․ first of all, his mental state is not good, and it is not clear how he will go to the Moscow meeting with that mental state.” According to Hakobyan, against the background of all this, the Armenian authorities are again looking for the culprits. “The Armenian authorities blamed the Russian peacekeepers for any problem over the past 1.5 years, but thanks to them, we are able to live in our homes and try to fight, because it is not clear what our role is here. They are looking for culprits and noting that he did not make those decisions alone. He says that the Artsakh authorities were aware of what was expected of Artsakh before the war, then he said that the Artsakh authorities would not talk about it, and I do not know whether they would talk about it or think that the lord’s anger would follow. After all, all their directions, especially today’s statement that there are people in the Artsakh government who endanger Artsakh and Armenia, leads them to be able to put the blame on other people in the future, but not themselves.”
