As long as there is no distinct pro-Armenian format, it is necessary to defend the existence, the activity, the perceptibility of the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group for the international community and the sides: the Secretary of the NA With Honor Faction Hayk Mamijanyan said at the parliamentary briefings.
In response to the journalist’s question what means yesterday’s step that the RF Foreign Ministry made a decision to appoint the Co-Chair of Russia in the OSCE Minsk Group as a special representative for the settlement of the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Mamijanyan noted:
“Still one or one and half month ago, With Honor Faction voiced its concerns how the authorities will act if as a result of current processes, Russia goes out of the OSCE. We were speaking about that, and there is no answer given to that in any way. This event that happened related to the Russian Co-Chair, was predictable. I believe that the distinct evaluation of the Armenian side and the Artsakh side is necessary, in order to be reaffirmed the role of the OSCE in the negotiation process. Naturally, Russian has been, is and continues remaining our strategic ally,” he said.
Touching upon the statement made by the Parliament of Artsakh, the deputy of With Honor Faction Tigran Abrahamyan noted: “Yesterday, the Parliament of Artsakh formulated its general position, defined the red lines that should be under the logic of the negotiation process. Today, the people of Artsakh, despite disappointments, concerns, this created inconsolable situation, are firmly stuck to their roots.”

Speaking about the possible solution of the Artsakh issue, Hayk Mamijanyan assured that in case of the power shift it would be possible to reach results.
“It is possible with very simple, empiric experience, because through decades the Armenian diplomacy succeeded to ensure the positions of the real international community, particularly, the Co-Chair countries and Armenia to be on the same page. If we succeeded that before, then we would succeed it in the future,” the deputy said.
