Armenia Faction Joins Statement Adopted by Artsakh Parliament

April 15,2022 21:45

The RA NA Armenia Faction joins the statement adopted by the Artsakh Parliament. The deputy of the Armenia Faction Andranik Tevanyan informed the journalists about it during the parliamentary briefings held on April 15. The deputy emphasized that the National Assembly of Artsakh and the opposition of the Armenia Faction are against the approach that the power of Armenia proposes.

“The current power of the Republic of Armenia has said that the solution of the problem should satisfy the people of Artsakh, however the people of Artsakh are against such a solution, and they consider the powers of Armenia not legitimate,” the deputy noted.

Referring to the Prime Minister’s statement on lowering the bar on the issue of the status of the Nagorno Karabakh, Andranik Tevanyan said that no representative of the Co-Chair countries of the OSCE Minsk Group has stated that Armenia should lower the bar on the status.

Answering to the journalist’s question that the opposition does not take clear steps, except that it places flags in different places, Andranik Tevanyan stressed that the opposition should now be organized, taking into account the mistakes made in the street fight in the past. He has noted that the opposition members consider their mandate and status not as a right, but as a responsibility.

“Yes, we have a problem to act effectively. Placing a flag had just a symbolic significance and the experience showed that we did right. We should make sure that we have results, not just rallies, and activate the street fight. The change of the Government should be done in such a way that Armenia and Artsakh are not harmed,” the opposition deputy noted.
