Today was the launch of the EU funded project “STRIVE for a better future”.
This project aims to improve the resilience, sustainability, accountability, and capacity for innovation of Armenian civil society organisations (CSOs), enabling them to play a pivotal role in raising awareness, deepening democracy, and serving constituencies in Armenia, especially vulnerable populations. Following a presentation on the project, the participants discussed the opportunities and challenges of the Armenian Civil society organisation.
The EU Ambassador, Ms Andrea Wiktorin said: “In a democratic society, confrontation, debate, and differences of opinion are important, but when it comes to defending vulnerable populations or accompanying reforms, a consensus must be found. And this is the objective of this project STRIVE: to initiate and support networking, capacity building, volunteering and engagement actions and to facilitate synergies and collaboration building among civil society.”
