EU Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin joined the Celebration of the European Immunization Week. Since the first day of the Covid-19 pandemic, the European Union, together with WhO, stood by the Government of Armenia to help with the pandemic response. As one of the biggest donors in supporting Armenia with vaccines donations and jointly with the EU Member States, the EU has been providing COVID vaccines – Moderna, Astra Zeneca, and lately, over 400 000 doses of Pfizer to the country.
The Ambassador expressed hope that continued vaccine intake would improve the country’s general situation, as Armenia is still one with the lowest vaccination rate in the Eastern Neighbourhood.
