“If we feel we are reaching the stage where we have to talk about who should hold what position in the future government, we will definitely talk”: Vanetsyan

May 02,2022 15:00

Who will be the leader of the resistance movement? It is not clear at this moment. At the end of last week, the leader of the Homeland party, Artur Vanetsyan, said at a press conference that the struggle had started in a decentralized “network version, a decision had been made that all the forces of the struggle would unite tomorrow.”

“At the moment, we have not discussed who will be the leader or who will occupy the post in the future, because in reality we are not fighting for a change of government, but for one idea – to have a strong country – Armenia, Artsakh- and to have Armenians living safe and dignified in our country.

Whether that leader will be me, you, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, or someone else, it has not been discussed at this moment. Tomorrow or the next day, if we feel that we are reaching the stage where we have to talk about who should hold what position in the future government, we will definitely talk. Believe me, we have such a personnel base that the government does not have. But the foundations of the state are so shattered that in the reconstruction of Armenia we must include all the forces that want to be able to work for Armenia and Artsakh, no matter where they are or what they are doing today. We must use the potential of the Diaspora.”
