On May 4, continuing the work of the regular sittings, the parliament adopted the draft laws debated on the previous day by voting.
Then the debate of the annual report on the activities of the RA Prosecutor’s Office for 2021 continued.
The Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Artur Davtyan informed that at present the number of prosecutors in the RA Prosecutor General’s Office is 412, there are 12-13 vacancies.
In their speeches, the deputies noted that the structure did extensive work, and they also highlighted the debate of the annual report on the activities of the Prosecutor General’s Office in the National Assembly. It was emphasized that a unique opportunity is given to publicize the work done by the employees of the Prosecutor General’s Office on the restoration of legality, prevention of crimes, identification of persons who are guilty and on bringing accountability.

In his final speech, the RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan thanked the deputies for the cooperation with the Prosecutor General’s Office and other criminal prosecution bodies during the previous year. He also thanked the colleagues for their sterling service in 2021. “In the Republic of Armenia, law and order is protected by apolitical and patriotic people dedicated to work,” Artur Davtyan concluded.
