A young man visited Yerablur military memorial cemetery together with MPs from the “Hayastan” fraction on May 9. He had the flag of Russia with him and the letter “Z” stuck to his car. It turned out that the young man was a member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Edgar Melikyan.
Aravot.am asked him, what was the reason for bringing Russia’s flag to Yerablur, he answered, “This is for our safety. So that the nation would understand that we need to be in very good relations with Russia. They stop my car nowadays, asking why is that flag stuck on my car? I answer this is the guarantee of your grandchildren’s safety. They reply we don’t have grandchildren. Do you understand?”
