The parents of killed soldiers gathered in front of the Prosecutor General’s office on May 12 demanding the arrest of Nikol Pashinyan. The awareness march, which started in France square, also moved to the Prosecutor General’s office. MP Aram Vardevanyan said that they are going to support the parents of the killed soldiers, to be by their side, and also demand that a criminal case is initiated against Nikol Pashinyan.
Let us remind you, that the parents made such a demand after Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan declared in the National Assembly that he could have stopped the war earlier, in that case, there would have been fewer casualties. They marched on Sayat-Nova, and Abovyan streets. People shouted “Armenia without Nikol”, “Armenia without a Turk”, and “Union, struggle, victory”.
The awareness march was led by Ishkhan Saghatelyan, Aram Vardevanyan, Artur Vanetsyan, and other MPs. A large number of policemen were waiting for the protesters in front of the Prosecutor General’s office. The son of Armenia’s second president, Robert Kocharyan, Levon Kocharyan was also there. People marching greeted the parents of the heroes and expressed their support.

MP Artur Ghazinyan said in this speech that interesting developments have occurred recently. He meant the Prosecutor General’s instruction to give the parents the status of legal successors. According to Artur Ghazinyan, that could be considered a small victory. “Later the case was taken from the structure headed by Sasun Khachatryan and transferred to the General Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee, where the full investigation of the case is underway. 5-6 days ago lawyer, who represents the parents, demanded to immediately summon Nikol Pashinyan for an investigation, who has not been interrogated for 1.5 years. He has confessed that he’s a traitor, that he was guilty of war, that he was guilty of the deaths of such bright boys”, Artur Ghazinyan said, noting that a legal formulation was given and Nikol Pashinyan should be immediately arrested.
According to him, that should be done to prevent new cases of treason, so that new territories won’t be handed over to the “enemy”. “The arrest is mandatory as Nikol Pashinyan can escape”. He reminded what parts of Armenia had been handed over to Azerbaijan and said that Nikol Pashinyan is going to also hand over 7 villages of Tavush, Tigranashen. The fact that Armenia’s government didn’t deny the statement of the Azerbaijani foreign ministry comes to prove that.
One of the parents of the killed soldier also had a speech telling what they have spoken with the prosecutor and the investigator. According to him, they have lost the most precious thing, now they are in danger of losing their motherland. He said that they demanded to arrest Nikoi Pashinyan as he has confessed in the parliament that he has killed 5000 boys. “I asked the same question to the investigator, I told him if those 5000 boys didn’t behave in a military unit, you would have sued them by now. Why aren’t you suing the person who killed 5000 boys?”
He also applied to Artur Davtyan, Prosecutor General, saying that the parents stand by him and that he should arrest Nikol Pashinyan immediately.
