Russia sees possibility of trilateral summit with Armenia, Azerbaijan — deputy minister

Andrey Rudenko added that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had discussed all Baku-Yerevan reconciliation issues with his Armenian and Azerbaijani counterparts during the visit to Tajikistan’s capital Dushanbe on May 12.

 /TASS/. Moscow does not rule out the possibility of holding a three-party in-person summit of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko has told TASS in an interview.

“We continue systematic work at all levels to implement the top-level trilateral agreements, reached on November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021. The leaders maintain contact all the time. We do not rule out organizing an in-person meeting, should the need arise,” he said.

The diplomat added that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had discussed all Baku-Yerevan reconciliation issues with his Armenian and Azerbaijani counterparts during the visit to Tajikistan’s capital Dushanbe on May 12.
