National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan is ready to apply to the National Assembly Council on the issue of depriving the deputies of the two opposition factions of their mandates. He said that on Tuesday in a briefing with journalists. “In general, there is no decision, let’s understand this. I am talking about my attitude. I think you can not come to the session when you want, not to come when you want. Especially since those deputies have long since exceeded the permissible limits,” Alen Simonyan added.
The opposition has been absent from the sittings for more than a month and is demanding Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation through protests. “We will return to parliament either in a different capacity, or to take concrete action to remove this government, or we will simply not return,” they said.
