Edgar Ghazaryan, a member of the Association at the Hayeli Press Club and former Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Poland, speaking about the developments in the field of foreign policy and the Nikol Pashinyan-Ilham Aliyev agreements, said, “In Brussels, they agreed with Ilham Aliyev on May 22. On May 23 they set up demarcation commissions, and on May 24 Mher Grigoryan and Shahin Mustafayev met in Yeraskh and agreed that there should be a joint commission meeting in Moscow, but Moscow did not accept a joint session. Not the whole commission met there, but only the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia. The agenda was not the Brussels agenda, but a transport unblocking session.
There is no Russia in the Brussels agreement, and the Russian Deputy Prime Minister also participated in this measure. In other words, at least at this stage, the Brussels agreements have been suspended. Agreements initiated by Russia are moving forward. But even in this case, the official announcement of the meeting is very dangerous for us. It was noted that the parties agreed on their positions on the roadblock. It is noted that the roads connecting the western regions of Azerbaijan to Nakhichevan have been clarified. Starting today, Mher Grigoryan must provide some information about that agreement. What kind of road is it, where should the work go, what kind of regime should there be?”
