In 2021, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports implemented 194 measures of 21 programmes, and its actual budget was about 174 billion 809 million AMD, the use of the adjusted plan was 97.7%, by 2.3 percent more compared with the previous year. The RA Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan said about this, presenting the budgetary allocations of the spheres of science, education, culture, sports, Diaspora, youth and information.
On June 7, at the joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committees on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sports and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs the discussion of the annual report on the RA State Budget execution for 2021 continued.
In the reporting year the Commission on Television and Radio carried out 1 programme with 3 measures, 315 million 600 AMD was allocated from the state budget, the performance – 97.3%.
In the previous year the Council of Public Broadcaster had 1 programme with 6 measures, for which 7 billion 51 million AMD was allocated, the performance was 100%.

As the Minister of Finance informed in 2021, 398.6 million AMD was allocated to the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, the performance – 91.8%.

The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Artur Martirosyan touched upon the work done in the spheres science, education, culture and sports.
As he has informed, in 2021 the reformed continued in the sphere of education aimed at the accessibility and affordability of the rendering service quality.
The action plan and schedule of the introduction of the universal inclusive education system in the pre-school education was approved. Pre-school complex programmes were also approved for all age group children.
Wide steps of reforms were also taken in the sphere of general education, From October 2021, 475 teachers who passed the attestation process receive 30-50% surcharge. According to the Deputy Minister, the teachers’ attestation process was more expanded in 2022. The general education state standard was reviewed, subject new criteria, programmes were approved. Laboratories were introduced in 107 high schools. The building conditions of a number of schools and kindergartens were improved.
In the sphere of education the steps were aimed at the solution of the main problems outlined by the programme of the Government activity, the Armenian culture declaration process of cultural preservation continued.
In the sphere of sports work was done in preparing Olympic shift and high qualified athletes. State support was also provided for general physical fitness of population, the disabled sports, national federations, the sports NGOs and national teams.
