According to Areg Kochinyan, an expert on security policy who participated in the discussion organized at the Media Center, the statements made by the Prime Minister about peace and war are not based on quantitative or qualitative research.
“I don’t think that Azerbaijan needs to legitimize the war. It just needs to coordinate the start and scale of that war with Russia. It’s not gaining legitimacy at all. Under what circumstances can it be agreed with Russia, when Armenia still resists to accept what, in fact, Azerbaijan, Russia, and Turkey have already agreed in the negotiation process?
It may refer to the corridor or the future of Artsakh, about which there is too little open information. If Armenia resists this and there is already a consensus on this between Russia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, then it is not excluded that with the permission of Russia there will be a war of some level with the calculation that Armenia will make concessions.”
