The strategy of labor and social protection for 2022-2026 sets the priorities of development responding the existing challenges and the sphere stemming from the international obligations assumed by the Republic of Armenia and the effective way of reaching the latter.
On July 19, the strategy was debated at the RA NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs chaired by Heriknaz Tigranyan. The representatives of the RA Ministry on Labor and Social Affairs took part in the discussion.
As the Adviser to the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Viktorya Aydinyan has assured, the necessity of the strategy elaboration stemmed from the dictate of complex solution of the problems facing the state, society, social protection system and person and coordinating the reforms started in the sphere.
According to her, the principles of social justice and solidarity and the RA Constitution are the basis in terms of values for the strategy, by which the borders of the social state are given, and the systems of social protection and support are established.

Viktorya Aydinyan noted that the most important messages of the strategy are the realization of the person’s potential through the labor and social guarantees, ensuring the family welfare and the creation of public good.
It was noted that the man is at the key of the outlining system by strategy, hence the strategy is built by the logic of human life stages, including the prenatal period until the end of life. It affirms the vision of the sphere development and the strategic goals, as well as predicts the expecting results from the reforms and the influence on the man, family and society.
Viktorya Aydinyan expressed conviction that process of strategic elaboration has been maximum participatory and transparent, thus trying to create public agreement over the proposing reforms. At the same time, the document affirms a flexible system of its review, which will give an opportunity to respond to permanently changing challenges and have sufficient flexibility in the crisis situations. Moreover, the public wide communication is observed as a key problem aimed at preserving the principles of participation and accountability.
According to the Adviser to the Minister, in the coming 5 years the strategy will be a guideline for the elaborating and crossing strategic other documents and policies.
In response to the question of the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs Heriknaz Tigranyan, Viktorya Aydinyan stressed that the documents on the accessible housing, demography and the integrated social services included in the strategy are the basic items.
Heriknaz Tigranyan and the Committee member, the NA deputy Zaruhi Batoyan urged the representative of the Ministry to pay more attention to the used logic.
As the Committee Chair Heriknaz Tigranyan has assured, the strategy of Labor and social protection for 2022-2026 is the most important step in the sphere for the solution of the existing problems.
