“That “howling wolf” came to Tsitsernakaberd with the permission of the government”: Larisa Alaverdyan

“Do you know why they were called Gray Wolves because one of the symbols of Christians is the lamb? Don’t many people understand that this is what we are talking about? Now one of the Gray Wolves thinks that he has reached the lamb and starts to howl with joy. Never once did true Gray Wolves achieve their goal completely.

They managed to strangle one or two weak lambs, but a real guard dog got to them, strangled them and chased them away,” referring to the incident in the Hayeli press club, when a young Turkish man mocked Armenians at the Armenian Genocide memorial complex the other day and showed the symbol of the Turkish nationalist organization, said the first ombudsman of RA, executive director of “Against Legal Arbitrariness” Larisa Alaverdyan. She asked the question: who did that young man come to honor with his “howl” to our current government?

“This is the important conclusion. Let’s understand that without permission, that “gray wolf” would not have reached Tsitsernakaberd. Secondly, the “gray wolves” always approach their goals with fear. And they are right that they are afraid, because they will not achieve their goal, in spite of the government they invited or brought with them.

Larisa Alaverdyan answered the question: “It may be answered that this is only one incident, so there is no need to go to the extreme and claim that Turks came to Armenia, that Armenians also desecrate Turkish symbols according to the occasion. In that sense, they are a more organized nation than we are. The Turkish minister was showing the sign of “gray wolves” from the car on another continent.

Therefore, it is a policy, the implementation of which takes place in such episodes. We are trained to it, that it can happen, that such a person comes and speaks such things.  It should not be allowed. I am not calling for fear, on the contrary, we should scare them. There is no need to be afraid of someone’s howling, which is an expression of politics.”
