The EU welcomes the ceasefire agreement reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
In addition to the welcoming statements, we expect the EU to take appropriate political measures, as a result of which the Azerbaijani troops will withdraw from the occupied parts of the sovereign territory of Armenia and return to the initial positions of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border as of May 12, 2021.
