STATEMENT TO THE SPEAKER OF THE US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES NANCY PELOSI FROM THE PARENT OF THE FALLEN SOLDIER HAYK MELIKYAN
I am here to say that our country is not for sale, the blood of our children is not for sale.
I am here to express my outrage at your multiple standards that gives the green light to the murderers to carry out their planned crimes.

I am here to shame you for your false democracy, as a result of which the term democracy has been destroyed and is now associated with sanitary sewer.
Today, a country after country is being destroyed in the name of democracy. Death and destruction is being spread as a result of false agendas and declaratory actions that do not yield any results.
And now about why are you here.
You are here to finish your bloody deal which you started back in 2018. You are here to finally destroy the Armenian statehood and the Armenian people. You are going to the Genocide Museum. How dare you?
You were silent when Azerbaijan and Turkey slaughtered our children, you were silent when Azerbaijan and Turkey used phosphorus bombs against us, you were silent when these murderous states, which you call your strategic allies, dismembered the bodies of our dead, tortured our captives, desecrate our graves and monuments. You were silent when this murderous tandem invaded the sovereign territory of Armenia, bombed Goris, Kapan, Jermuk, Vardenis, Sotk…You are still silent, as Azerbaijan continues to stay on our land and further occupy territories from Armenia and Artsak.
And what about US military aid to the Aliyev regime, both in assistance and training, impacting on the military balance with Armenia. And it’s done despite Azerbaijan’s ethnic cleansing of the indigenous Armenian population of Artsakh, during which more than 6,500 people died and more than 100,000 ethnic Armenians were displaced in 2020. As a reminder, your government has provided close to $1 billion in overall US aid to Azerbaijan in fiscal years 2002-2022.
Now that my people are finally trying to wake up and drive out the man-eating beast and its junta you brought to power, which has been busy tearing down our government structures and destroying our race for the past few years with your patronage, you come as if on a mission to save us, but your real intention is to prolong the rule of junta by numbing our vigilance with empty promises, distracting us from the main agenda to finally destroy our statehood.
Shame, shame and again shame. Your hands are indirectly soaked in the blood of our boys.
We know your real face, we know your real intentions. Keep away from our country and our people.
