“Ask the published newspaper. Then, when we have the opportunity, I will answer your questions,” this was the reaction of Andranik Kocharyan, chairman of the National Defense and Security Affairs Committee, referring to the information published by “Haykakan Zhamanak (Armenian Times,” citing a “reliable source.”
Civil Contract faction MP Marina Ghazaryan said that she is familiar with the published information. It was reliable for her, but with the excuse of “we will talk later,” she rushed into the meeting hall.
Armen Khachatryan said that he did not read and did not draw conclusions from that publication. In response to the question about what Armenia is ready to concede and if that issue has been discussed, he answered, “The sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia is the first red line beyond which there is no red line.” The journalists asked, what about Artsakh? He answered, “The security of the people of Artsakh, yes, is a red line for us and it is the security of our people that should play a primary role for us. The rest are diplomatic questions, which I will not answer.”

We read the published requirements for Civil Contract deputy Hovik Aghazaryan. He had not heard or read them. After listening, he responded, “Those are unacceptable demands for me.”
He assured that if there is a document with such demands, he is not aware of it, but he is against it and the people of Artsakh should deny it. “Disbandment of the armed forces is unacceptable to me. We are ready to support the realization of the right to self-determination of the people of Artsakh.”
Aghazaryan urged Pashinyan to clarify the rest of the issues when he comes to the NA-government question-and-answer session. Journalists asked if he would ask about it. He offered another option in response. “Tell your relatives, your opposition figures, let them come and ask those questions. I’ll think about asking that question.
Contact your relatives, Vardevanyan, and others.” In response to the question about if he throws it at Artsakh now, he says that Artsakh will be against it, so why was the November 9 document signed without Artsakh’s consent, he answered, “Nothing was done without coordinating with the Artsakh authorities.”
