Hossein Amirabdollahian announced that the opening of the first consulate general of Iran in the city of Kapan, Syunik province of Armenia, was carried out within the framework of the economic policy of the 13th Government of the country, to strengthen the North-South transit road, to expand and deepen the relations between the two countries.
According to the Iranian Foreign Minister, this step was taken in order to develop and strengthen the economic cooperation between the two countries.
“Thanks to this decision, we will witness the expansion and deepening of Iran-Armenia relations in the near future,” the minister added.
