Edgar Ghazaryan, one of the leaders of the opposition, had suffered injuries mainly on his head as a result of an attack by two unknown individuals near his house’s front porch.
Edgar Ghazaryan was taken to a hospital where he was examined. The law enforcement officers are also there, Edgar Ghazaryan is being questioned. Ghazaryan’s brother-in-law Tigran Hovakimyan told Aravot.am.
He also informed us that Edgar Ghazaryan left his house, went to a barber shop, and on his way back two unknown middle-aged figures, who Edgar Ghazaryan was unfamiliar with, attacked him and beat him up. According to our interlocutor, the attackers did not say anything, they started by punching Ghazaryan in the head, threw him on the floor, continuing kicking him.
“They performed computed tomography, we are waiting for the results. There is also a tear on his head area.” – Ghazaryan’s brother-in-law said.
According to a member of the “5165 movement”, Menua Soghomonyan, Mr. Ghazaryan had filmed the occurrence, but it is unclear whether the faces of the attackers were on record.
