On October 18, President Vahagn Khachaturyan, who is in Bulgaria on a state visit, had a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Galab Donev.
Galab Donev noted that Armenian and Bulgarian peoples are tied with a friendship of many years. He mentioned with pleasure that there are excellent relations between the two countries and we have great prospects of realizing our untapped potential in the fields of science, culture, health and more.
President Khachaturyan thanked the Prime Minister of Bulgaria, highlighting that this visit will give a new impetus to the development of the relations between the two countries. The President noted that our countries have a lot in common and emphasized that this meeting is taking place in a symbolic year, when we celebrate the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Armenia and Bulgaria.
The RA President and the Prime Minister of Bulgaria attached importance to the necessity of establishing sustainable peace in the region and within that context, they emphasized the significance of the decision to send an EU observation mission to Armenia.
