On October 27, the RA NA President took part in the IPA CIS Council Meeting. The attendees congratulated Valentina Matvienko, who was moderating the meeting on the occasion of being re-elected in the position of the Chairperson of the Council of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
At the meeting it was recorded that the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly makes important efforts in deepening the parliamentary relations between the countries.
Ideas were exchanged over the possible ways of activating the main platform of cooperation of the CIS parliamentarians. In this context it was underlined that Armenia accepts the chairmanship of the CIS Youth Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.
The work of the Assembly will continue tomorrow, on October 28.
