On November 9, the RA NA President Alen Simonyan received the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and European Union Committee of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Bogdan Klich.
The RA NA President noted that this year the 655th anniversary of the official formation of the Armenian community of Poland turns, adding that Armenia highly appreciates and is grateful to the Polish people for the warm attitude and care that the Armenian people have felt in Poland.
At the meeting the sides underlined the importance of the inter-parliamentary activeness in the Armenian-Polish inter-state relations, agreeing in the necessity of enriching the agenda items.
The RA NA President touched upon the provoked large-scale aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia by Azerbaijan on September 13 and its aftermath. In this context the decision on sending 40 civilian observers of the European Union to the borders of Armenia was singled out.

A reference was also made to the demand of the transit visa in the airports of Poland, which entered into force for the citizens of the Republic of Armenia from August 1, 2022. Alen Simonyan considered it worrisome, adding that it contradicts the idea of the visa liberalization, creating additional obstacles for the free move of the RA citizens. The NA President expressed hope that that decision will be reviewed.
