EU and UNDP course trains farmers on high value herbs and wild plants

A series of trainings organised by the EU-Green Agriculture Initiative in Armenia (EU-GAIA) project ended at the end of October.

The final training took place at the Green Learning Centre in Dzoraghbyur village, Kotayk region, and focused on the cultivation, processing, harvesting and marketing of high value herbs and wild plants.

The course was attended by 25 project beneficiaries. Under the guidance of the Centre’s specialists, they learnt about useful properties and uses of herbs and were trained in labelling, certification, sorting and packaging of seeds of high value crops.

Course participants received certificates of completion.

The EU-Green Agriculture Initiative in Armenia (EU-GAIA) project is funded by the European Union in Armenia and co-financed by the Austrian Development Cooperation. The project is jointly implemented by the Austrian Development Agency and the UNDP in Armenia.
