Arman Shirali Nejad and Arad Entezar making an Iranian-Armenian cooperative performance

In Armenia MokhTalafat Art Group making a performance with students of Yerevan State Institute Theatre and Cinematography.

This is such a nice corporation for international culture and development acting in both countries.

The acting play is about “Big head”. It’s promising to be interesting and effective.

-Why did you want to stage the play in Armenia?

-In the name of God, after participating in Highfest Festival and being able to see performances from Armenia and the amount of interest from the audience I got interested in cooperation with our Armenian friends.

I think we have many things in common in our theater.

-What is the play about?

-This is the third part of the trilogy of MokhTalafim, the first part became Iran’s most-viewed play of the year 2020, and its second episode got to be in Iran’s most important theater festival on the main scene. And for the third part, it will be seen for the first time on the stages of Armenia

This play is actually an escape from the pain that today’s human is tangled with, that for escaping from it he should find God by first finding himself and finally calm.

The story of this play is in a modern day asylum and the main character of this play is a character named “Big Head” .

-Who is the director of the play and the actors?

-The director is Arman Shirali Nejad /Born on December 16, 1990 in Mahshahr, Iran, the CEO and main Director of the group is going to be Directing this play. The actors of the play consist of two Iranian actors and four Armenian.Armenian actors: Armen Jrbashyan,Mariam Zaqaryan, Karen Harutyunyan,Mariam Meliqyan and we have one director assistant her name is Elza Mamunts.

Iranian actors: Arad Entezar, Shokoofeh Ahmadi.

The clothes designer of the performance is Hasti Jabari.

-Please tell us about your “Mokhtalafat” art group.

-MokhTalafat Art Group is an International Multi-Art-Production company based in Tehran, Iran. The name MokhTalafat is consisted of two words: “Mokh (Mind)” and “Talafat (Wasted)”, meaning “Wasted-Minds”

Its main members are three people.

Arman Shirali Nejad, the CEO of the group who established it in 2020 with the first official production of the company called “MokhTalafat” meaning “We’re Lost-Minded”, Which became Iran’s best-selling play of the year.

Arad Entezar, Born on September 27, 2000 in Karaj, Iran, is the youngest member of the group and the mind behind organizing and managing companies actions. He joined the group in March 2021 and has been Acting for it since then, from his notable plays we can name “Oodo”, “Oodo, Fajr international Theater Festival” & “MokhTalafim, Highfest Theater Festival”

And finally Sobhan Babaiee the orange-wearing actor and graphist of the group, is the only lasting member of the original cast of MokhTalafim 2020 still in the group.

The group’s soul purpose is to raise the standards in Iran’s theater scene and has proven this with each new production.

-What difficulties do you face during creating a performance?

-Doing theater is always twisted with pain, and maybe when I find the answer to this pain I may stop doing theater.

-Who do you cooperate with in Armenia?

-We’ve been lucky enough to be working with our dear friend.

The producer of the play, Lilit Movsisyan and YSITC.

-And how is it going?

-We are amazed from the amount of effort that has been put into this project from the Armenian side and I think both sides are trying their best to produce an amazing and memorable performance for both countries.
