The Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem is once again preparing grounds for a new military aggression: I have urgently addressed my international colleagues.
Regardless of the willingness of Nikol Pashinyan’s Government to do everything so that peace treaty is signed until the end of the year, Azerbaijan is continuously opening fire against Armenian civilians just doing agricultural work. These people, including children, women and the elderly are targeted by the Azerbaijani forces. Azerbaijan is continuously opening fire in the direction of the Armenian population and is simultaneously spreading disinformation about the opening of fire by the Armenian side.
I would like to mention that we have wounded civilians /A. Hayrapetyan got bodily injuries, P. Kh. got a gunshot wound/, also damages to the agricultural machinery as a consequence of such absolutely unacceptable operations by Azerbaijan.
Such a behavior by Azerbaijan is another manifestation of ethnic hatred against Armenians and grossly violates the right to life of the civilians of Artsakh and Armenia, which is also a grave violation of the key provisions of the International Humanitarian Law.
The analysis of the current situation, also of the behavior by Azerbaijan preceding its latest aggressions, lays grounds to alarm that the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem is once again preparing grounds for a new military aggression. Thus I have urgently addressed my international colleagues to exercise all the possible legal and political mechanisms to condemn such a criminal behavior by Azerbaijan grossly violating fundamental rights of the people of Armenia and Artsakh. I also respectfully urged to take practical steps to prevent a new aggression against peaceful Armenian population who just desire to live a secure and happy life in their homeland.
