“In order to increase the attractiveness interest of sign military service contract, the Government proposes to make extra payment for the officers, non-commissioned officers and privates of the contract military service holding positions with the functions of implementation, planning or control of combat tasks,” the RA Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan noted at the NA sitting on November 15. According to him, the calculation of the extra payment will depend on the fact that these servicemen pass the certification.
According to the initiative, the contract servicemen holding positions with the functions of implementation, planning or control of combat tasks will voluntarily participate in the certification provided for the purpose of calculating the bonus. Those holding a position for the first time with appropriate functions provided for in each group of military positions or those who are accepted into contract military service from the reserve force will be certified no earlier than three months after the day of holding the position and no later than the day of the fourth month.
“In case of obtaining the right to receive extra payment based on the results of the certification, the extra payment will be calculated from the date of appointment to the position,” the Minister noted and added that the contract servicemen who have passed a certification in the position they hold and receive extra payment will be subject to re-certification once in three years in order to continue the calculation of the extra payment.
