RA NA President’s Official Visit to Georgia Begins With a Symbolic Event of Diplomatic Relations
At the invitation of the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili the delegation led by the RA NA President Alen Simonyan is on an official two-day visit in Georgia. The visit began by the solemn event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Armenia-Georgia diplomatic relations organized by the RA Embassy to Georgia.
The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili and the high-ranking guests also were invited to the event. In his opening speech the RA NA President noted: “I am glad that today, within the framework of the official visit to the brotherly Georgia, I am attending such a memorable event. I am also glad that here is my good friend and colleague Shalva. This year turns the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Georgia, but the Armenian-Georgian joint passed path, the historical connections and traditions have a history of millennia.”

Alen Simonyan noted that during these thirty years of the inter-state relations great successes were registered, however in reality the trace left by the two peoples’ eloquent and rich cultural ties is huge and immeasurable.
At the festive event the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili also gave a speech. Congratulating the attendees on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Armenian-Georgian diplomatic relations, he mentioned that every minute and second of those 30 years, have brought closer the two peoples’ ties, and have laid the diplomatic relations on firmer bases.
The RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan touched upon the two peoples’ close ties and the inter-state dynamically developing relations.
At the event the Children’s Choir of Tavush Diocese performed.
