In years 2011-13 Armenia was determinately heading in the direction of signing an association agreement with the EU. Intensive negotiations were being conducted and corresponding legislative and structural changes were made, a definite democracy improvements took place. Particularly, the political prisoners, taken into custody after March the 1st of 2008, were set free. Simultaneously Kremlin-controlled media and political scientists would talk about our country and nation in a vile and offensive manner. Do you remember when an Armenian driver Hrachya Harutyunyan was forced to put on a feminine robe in order to humiliate him?
Then, suddenly, on September the 3rd, Serzh Sargsyan declared that Armenia is joining the Eurasian Customs Union, and therefore, will not sign an agreement with the EU. The anti-Armenian propaganda from Russia instantly dropped, and Levon Ter-Petrosyan appeared with a so-called lecture, the gist of which was the following: States like ours are to be honest with all their colleagues. Thus, when a process is occurring with the X pole, the Y pole should be informed, and vice versa.
While that observation was correct in 2013, when the poles were distant, but not in conflict with one another, then it is thrice as right nowadays. What happened 9 years ago could have been somehow forgotten. I do hope however, that it isn’t hard to refresh people’s memories of the events that occurred on september-october of this year, including another one of Azerbaijan’s attacks.
It was formally disclosed that a country took weapon money from us, but did not give the weapon. That the CSTO does not meet its obligations, that agents from other country are swarming here. The “Reliable Source” also said that Russia has an aim to force Armenia to become part of their territory or form a federative state. By the way, I think that all of those statements are true, except for the agents. Russia does not need to keep agents as they have a lot of levers to force their policy.During these two months the Kremlin propagandists have been giving vile estimations to our country and its government again.

…I would not be surprised if after Putin’s upcoming visit to Armenia on November the 23th, Russian MP Zatulin stops being an unwanted figure in our country.
