UATE Emergent Congress took place

On December 2, the Emergent congress of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE) took place. During the conference, a number of key suggestions proposed by the members of the UATE were discussed. Charter amendments were adopted by voting. Elections of the President and the Board of the UATE also took place during the Congress.

Alexander Yesayan, the President of the UATE, and Hayk Chobanyan, the Executive Director of the UATE, gave the opening speech, welcoming the attendees.

“In recent months, the number of the UATE members has been consistently increasing, on the occasion of which a demand was formed to meet again with a full composition and discuss a number of issues of strategic importance in the agenda. As the largest technological union in Armenia, we prefer to respond to all internal impulses and offer effective solutions promptly,” said Alexander Yesayan, President of the UATE.

Traditionally, until the next congress, the President of the UATE and the members of the Board, elected at the conference, together with the staff of the union, will implement the mission of protection of members’ interests along with the effective and consistent implementation of strategic projects.

“Nearly 130 member companies and staff of the UATE work together effectively for the best implementation of our strategic projects, which is an essential resource for us. Recent events related to the appreciation of the Armenian Dram and the results of the protest expressed by the community once again proved how influential and strong the voice of the community can be when it is united and directed,” said the Executive Director of the UATE.

As a result of the conference, Alexander Yesayan (Team Telecom Armenia CJSC) was re-elected to the position of the President of the UATE.

Artavazd Minasyan (Krisp LLC), Arman Poghosyan (Instigate CJSC), Gevorg Safaryan (Limetech LLC), Khachik Nazaryan (VMware LLC), Manuk Hergnyan (Granatus Ventures CJSC), Artak Chopuryan (Instigate Mobile CJSC), Satenik Mnatsakanyan (Leviathan CJSC), Narek Vardanyan (TCF LLC), Arsen Baghdasaryan (DataArt․AM LLC) and Arman Atoyan (X-Tech LLC) were elected as UATE Board Members. Ashot Alikhanyan (Anania Shirakatsy Armenian National Lyceum) and Sophie Mehrabyan (Macadamian AR CJSC) were elected as Examiner Members.

Union of Advanced Technologies Enterprises is the largest business sector union in Armenia, which currently unites around 130 leading technology companies and a community of around 15,000 professionals involved in the sector. The Union carries out activities aimed at protecting the interests of companies in the field and annually conducts more than a dozen projects, including founding and developing the “Armat” national educational program and “DigiTech”, the largest technology exhibition and conference in the region.
