Armenpress. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar.
Views were exchanged on the development of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the latest developments around the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, as well as the delimitation process and the unblocking of regional transportation infrastructures, the foreign ministry said in a readout.
FM Mirzoyan said that Armenia is committed to its position on establishing peace and stability in the region and stressed that Azerbaijan’s continuous provocative actions and maximalist rhetoric lead to the escalation of the fragile security situation.
FM Mirzoyan and Klaar also addressed the activities of the EU monitoring mission in Armenia and attached importance to its role.
