The Foreign Minister of Armenia noted that Azerbaijan’s maximalist approaches, the aggressions against the territorial integrity of Armenia, the ongoing occupation of the sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia and warmongering and armenophobic statements create an unstable situation in the region – full of security and humanitarian challenges. Minister Mirzoyan also highlighted the need of repatriation of the Armenian prisoners of war and the inadmissibility of political manipulation of the issue by Azerbaijan.
The Armenian side presented the situation resulting from the blockage of the Lachin Corridor and the disruption of gas supply to Nagorno-Karabakh by Azerbaijan, emphasizing the threat of a humanitarian crisis.
