During the sit-in in front of the UN office in Yerevan, Artak Beglaryan, advisor to the Artsakh State Minister, was not given an official response from the office. They approached him, clarified his needs, and expressed his point of view. Referring to the discussion of the closing of the Berdzor corridor by the RA government, Beglaryan said. “It was a closed discussion, and I cannot say details. Edmon Marukyan also came to support us, and some government and opposition MPs came.”
Artak Beglaryan asked what the authorities have done so far. “Don’t you think you shouldn’t ask me that question?” Artak Beglaryan answered the question: what should the international community do for Azerbaijanis to open the way? “First of all, we need clear assessments. I am glad that some countries have already said that it is unacceptable. The United Nations Secretary-General also seems to have made a statement. We welcome that. There should be a response from the UN Human Rights Commissioner. And the UN Security Council must address the situation and provide longer-term guarantees for Artsakh. The UN structures themselves should discuss how to solve the issue.”
