Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh Davit Babayan was in RA NA on December 16 due to the situation of closing the Berdzor Corridor by Azerbaijan to participate in closed discussions with parliamentary factions. After the meeting with the CC/CIVIL CONTRACT/ members, he said in a briefing with journalists that they officially stated that the issue of Artsakh will always be at the center and that RA will never wash its hands of Artsakh.
“This is an important message. The approach to Artsakh should be unified. We discussed various issues, including joint work in parliamentary diplomacy. There is a willingness; we must continue,” said Davit Babayan. He also said that the efforts of RA, Artsakh, and the Diaspora should be directed to Artsakh because everything bad is expected from Azerbaijan. Davit Babayan also mentioned that Azerbaijan’s demand to establish an Azerbaijani checkpoint in the Berdzor corridor is not valid and is unacceptable.
