“Of course, Azerbaijan does not need to be given a corridor, but the problem is that if we delay too much, we will not give it, but they will take it.” Liparityan

Azerbaijan wants the Zangezur Corridor. Should it be a red line for Armenia, and does being against it become “non-Mitizationism” now? This question was asked during the presentation of the book authored by the first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s former advisor and diplomat, Zhirayr Liparityan. He answered that he did not want to get into the issues discussed today but would prefer that road not be called a corridor. “Be different from the usual road, but not a corridor. Of course, we don’t need to give a corridor, but the problem is that if we delay too much, we won’t give it, but they will take it.”

Regarding foreign policy, Liparityan said that we were never ready to take responsibility and say that this is the solution; we relied on the keys of other countries and the Minsk Group. “We had illusory solutions. We thought it was treason to understand why the other person was doing what they were doing, but when we explained, it seemed like we were excusing the other person. But the other person has his logic, which he believes as much as we believe in our logic. We did not believe that there is patriotism for them, we did not believe that they have logic, patriotism, self-love, we humiliated them for 25 years, and then we complain about what they are doing.”
