Former adviser of the first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan, diplomat, and doctor of historical sciences, professor Zhirayr Liparityan, presented his book “The Third Republic of Armenia. Nagorno Karabakh conflict, materials for history,” which was published by “Antares” publishing house. “Armenia-Turkey. statehood, history, politics” is Liparityan’s second book. The book includes Liparityan’s articles, scientific and political reports, interviews, and speeches from 1979-2021.
Speaking about his work, Zhirayr Liparityan said: “The question is, what do we know? Some facts do not correspond to what we know and believe. If the mind is already programmed and a new fact appears, it does not match the validity of what we know.” According to Liparityan, we must have an answer: what do we know and from where, because what we know can only be information we hear from here and there. He told.
-I was talking with one of our philanthropists in the Diaspora. In the end, he asked, “How much money do you think Kocharyan has?
I said, “I don’t know.” He said: “but you know a lot; how do you not know that? He has 3-4 million dollars”. I said “yes, I heard 1-2 billion dollars”.” Did you see that you knew”? I said, that I heard. In the end, I asked: “how much money does Ter-Petrosyan have”? He answered; “has nothing.”

According to Liparityan, we need to collect what we know to conclude. “It is necessary to understand why the enemy does this. What we should do next and whether we can do anything depends on that “why”. He told that once in Boston he talked with former State Minister Artak Beglaryan, regarding the Karabakh issue and made the conversation public. “He asked; what are we going to do? I said; the people in our situation, Karabakh or Armenia, before thinking about what we should do, we should first think about what we should not do, because if we make a wrong step, we will neutralize the right steps.”
