On December 22, the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs in the second reading debated the draft on Making Amendments and Addenda to the constitutional law the Judicial Code of the Republic of Armenia and the enclosed legislative package.
The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Armenuhi Harutyunyan informed that the after being passed in the first reading the package was revised. The deputy of the Civil Contract Faction Arpine Davoyan presented proposals mainly of editorial character.
In the Deputy Minister’s word, the proposing amendments are aimed at more specifying the functioning legal regulations, filling in the gaps existing in the laws, the relief of the court load and the provision of the principle examining the cases within reasonable term. According to the Deputy Minister, as a result of the package adoption, the citizens’ concerns will be somewhat relieved.
The Committee endorsed the legislative package.
