Since December 12, 2022, the so-called “eco-activists” of Azerbaijan, but in fact, the military of special units and the representatives of the Turkish terrorist organization “Grey Wolves”, blocked the only road, that is Berdzor (Lachin) humanitarian corridor, connecting the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) with the Republic of Armenia and the outside world citing the ecological problems allegedly existing in the Kashen mine operating on the territory of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic.
We, the non-governmental organizations dealing with the problems of the forcibly displaced people from Hadrut, Shushi, Karvachar, Kashatagh, Martuni, Martakert, Askeran regions of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic, have repeatedly appealed to you and all international organizations for two years already, warning of the inevitable new disaster, new ethnic cleansing, and the danger of genocide.
What is happening today to the population of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic is not merely a humanitarian disaster, but the continuation of the disastrous war of 2020 with other, hybrid methods.
We have repeatedly warned that the Russian-Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem is using the population of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic as a hostage in order to put pressure on the authorities of the Republic of Armenia, the ultimate goal of which is the destruction of Armenian statehood and autonomy.
The imperialist leaders of Russia and Turkey, by starving 120,000 people, including 30,000 children and the same number of elderly and disabled, seriously ill people, want to enslave all Armenians living in the region and deprive us of democratically gained independence and punish us for being supporters of democracy.
The attitude of the international community towards the population of Artsakh( Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic and the application of strict sanctions against Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and their supporting countries these days is the exam that all international organizations and countries are passing.
The Armenian people have made their decision. Relying on our right to self-determination, we want to have a sovereign Armenian state, and we have proved it with our 30-year persistent struggle, sacrificing the lives of the best children of our nation and the well-being of our people.
We continue our struggle for freedom and statehood. Our children are ready to go through all the difficulties awaiting us as a result of this persistent struggle.
However, we need the support of the international community. Today it is more than urgent on the territory of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) Republic
1) Deployment of United Nations Peacekeeping Forces
2) Provision of aid to the hostage population within the framework of the UN World Food Program
3) Deployment of International Observation Mission
4) Access of foreign journalists to the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic in order to assess the situation on the ground and present accurate information to the media of all countries of the world.
International organizations can and are obliged to protect the population of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Republic from a new genocide.
Otherwise, it will be considered as a support for the physical destruction of the Armenian people by the Russian-Turkish-Azerbaijani terrorists.
