Military expert Davit Jamalyan, assessing the year 2022 in the “Hayeli” club and talking about the blockade of Artsakh, said. “When we said in 2021 that it was worse than 2020 because the conglomerate that brought disaster remained in power, it turned out that 2022 was even worse and shameful because that power not only managed to stay but consistently led us to destruction. But the abnormal situation cannot last long. A sizeable active part of our society, which is in a deep depression, tries to resist to some extent with immunity.
However, our community has a chance to recover, and that active sector has its place and role in 2023 in removing the capitulator who brought disaster. The hope is that the active part of the public, which never despairs, has taken the flag of the struggle and will continue to carry it.
As for the latest developments, the scenario that the Azerbaijani side would block the road to Artsakh was entirely predictable and obvious. When Berdzor was handed over, which the Armenian side had yet to undertake to do in any document, the events of Jermuk took place about two weeks later. In other words, Azerbaijan received Berdzor on a platter from the capitulation regime, to which it responded aggressively in the direction of Vayots Dzor and Syunik. And thanks to the collective Armenian forces and the Russian 102nd military base, the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression was stopped.
Anyway, at least Jermuk was saved. My point is as follows. When you yield, the enemy becomes insolent. I was and still think that this suppression by the Turks, suppression of the capitulating forces, making concessions once again is a very explicit scenario of a conspiracy against our statehood. When you have the opportunity not to give in, but you give in, knowing very well that every new concession will lead to another disaster, the question arises as to whose interests you serve,” said Davit Jamalyan.
