It is possible to blockade Azerbaijani embassies in different countries similarly: “Areresum”

January 09,2023 16:04

“At the moment, we seem to be left alone. No country is taking practical steps to resolve this issue”: Arsen Grigoryan, (“Mro”) guest of Aravot’s “Areresum” (“Confrontation”) program, performer of Armenian folk songs, Honored Artist of Armenia, and founding head of “Arar” Armenian National Art Preservation Center, said about the blockade of Artsakh. We have to start from here; what are we doing? What have we done during these two years to not come, not to reach it?”

In his New Year’s message, the RA Prime Minister also made a consistent claim:

“Our allies in the security sector left us alone, preferring to remain in the status of a passive observer or offering the status of an active observer as an alternative,” and added.”But we were not alone in the world, and I want to thank those countries and international organizations, who were not indifferent to this situation and, having no obligation to our country, took unprecedented decisions to support the establishment of security and stability in our region.”

To the question: do the statements of the international community affect the authorities of Azerbaijan if we take into account that there was no change after them, the other guest of the program, the Artistic Director of the traditional song-dance group “Karin,” and Honored Worker of RA Culture, participant of the Artsakh war Gagik Ginosyan answered. “If there were an effect, at least after Pelosi’s arrival, the Azerbaijani forces would have left the border of Armenia… But in fact, it has no effect. And all you have to do is: yes, they beat you, well; we’ll pat your head, give you two pieces of candy, eat a little, and get busy.” “We are also happy about those announcements,” added Arsen Grigoryan.

“If the Russian Federation cannot ensure stability and security in Nagorno-Karabakh for objective or subjective reasons,  it should initiate a discussion in the UN Security Council and offer to grant the Russian Federation peacekeeping force in Nagorno-Karabakh a UN Security Council mandate. Or raise the issue of sending an additional multinational peacekeeping force to Nagorno Karabakh,” Pashinyan said.

“Is he our prime minister or the prime minister of Russia?” responded Gagik Ginosyan. “Your country is being destroyed, and you say Russia should go to the UN.” Who are you? Aren’t you a representative of a UN member country? Your country is being destroyed. Should Russia go to the UN? Say, “Brother, I can’t. Come on…”

CC faction deputy Arsen Torosyan made another proposal. “In this crisis, I think that the authorities of Karabakh and the people of Karabakh should, in any case, try to have some dialogue with the leaders of Azerbaijan to resolve the crisis. We know there were unsuccessful attempts, but considering the severity of the situation and the process of a humanitarian crisis going to disaster, we should not allow tragedy. This dialogue should be in the interest of Karabakh and all of us. ”

Gagik Ginosyan responded to this proposal. “You created this situation; should they go to dialogue…”? And Arsen Grigoryan mentioned. “Let them do that on November 9. Let them say on November 9: go to a dialogue with the leadership of Artsakh.” In this regard, he recalled the government’s promises to increase the subjectivity of Artsakh.

The Foreign Ministry of Armenia considered it necessary to send an international mission to Nagorno Karabakh and the Lachin Corridor to assess the humanitarian situation on the ground and ensure unhindered humanitarian access to Nagorno Karabakh for UN bodies. “We consider Armenia’s calls to send any mission to the territory of Azerbaijan as another provocation directed against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry responded.

According to Gagik Ginosyan, this statement proves Azerbaijan is aware that it is carrying out aggression. “If I know nothing is happening in my home, why should I say they should not come and look? If they think we are somehow threatening their sovereignty, let them open the doors and let everyone see the case. In other words, they know what they are doing.”

Gagik Ginosyan made it even more explicit, saying that the offices of international organizations should be blocked. “It is possible to blockade the Azerbaijani embassies abroad, in different countries, in the same way, saying that a humanitarian disaster is taking place, this country is committing aggression, and we will not allow the continuation of the work of this state, the author of the humanitarian disaster.”
