“There is something worse than war: massacre, genocide, deportation.” Arman Abovyan

January 18,2023 16:30

“The Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh are facing the most decisive and the biggest war. And our future steps and fate depend on whether we accept this reality or not,” said Arman Abovyan, an analyst of the center at the discussion organized by the “Voskanapat” center. He added that the power centers are already discussing the consequences of the war. And these discussions are 99.9 percent related to the territory of Armenia.

“What will prevent Azerbaijan from attacking the city of Yerevan, for example, with missiles? What will prevent Azerbaijan from launching large-scale operations?”

Arman Abovyan raised questions, noting that there is an interfering factor, for example, the circumstances of our allied state and the interests of various centers. Still, there are transformations in the world today, and historically it has turned out that we are in focus again, and we must clearly understand that we will not be able to avoid it, regardless of our wishes.

“First, if this continues, war is inevitable. Second, the expression: whatever it is, only not a war or there is nothing worse than war; let me tell you, there is: massacre, genocide, and deportation. Thirdly, do we have a chance? Yes, we have, and it depends on one thing: to what extent we leave the stereotypes and accept the reality,” said Arman Abovyan.
